Purpose of this application
Tiding helps job seekers discover jobs, apply directly to employers, build a verified professional profile, and grow their network. Employers use Tiding to post jobs, manage applicants, schedule interviews, and access hiring analytics. The platform includes a real-time news feed, a resume builder, an interactive job map, and direct messaging between professionals.
Why Tiding requests Google Sign-In
Tiding offers Google Sign-In as an authentication option. When a user chooses to log in or register with Google, Tiding uses the following information from their Google account:
- Email address — to uniquely identify the user account and send transactional notifications (e.g., application status, interview reminders).
- Name and profile picture — to pre-populate the user's Tiding profile so they do not have to re-enter information they have already provided to Google.
Tiding does not access Google Drive, Gmail, Calendar, or any other Google service. No data is shared with third parties. The sole purpose of requesting Google OAuth is passwordless, verified sign-in.
